PILOT-SCALE EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF SELECTIVE NON-CATALYTIC REDUCTION PROCESS BY USING DIFFERENT REDUCING REAGENT
The experiments of selective non-catalytic reduction process were carried out in CRF(Combustion Research Facility). Urea, ammonia liquor, ammonium carbonate and ammonium bicarbonate were used as reducing agent to reduce NOx in the flue gas. The reducing agent was injected into the furnace of CRF through an atomizing nozzle. The experimental results show that the NO reduction increases with increase of the ratio of nitrogen in the reducing agent and in NO(β) for the specific reducing reagent. For urea, ammonia liquor and ammonium carbonate, with β between 1.0 ~2.5, the NO removal efficiencies are 65~89%, 62~86% and 45~84%, respectively. For ammonium bicarbonate, with β between 0.8~1.5, 46~73% NO removal efficiency is obtained. For the different reducing reagents, the temperature windows are different. The results show that the optimum temperature of urea is highest and ammonia liquor is lowest.
