FEASIBILITY STUDY ON CO2 REUSE SYSTEM COMBINING WITH BOUDOUARD REACTION AND FISCHER-TROPSCH SYNTHESIS
This article is focused on the development of simulation models to study the production of liquid fuels, using gasification system in combination with Boudouard reaction and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS). The most important work is on analyzing Boudouard reaction and the production distribution of the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. The carbon dioxide reacts with coke in order to produce carbon monoxide (Boudouard reaction). The hydrogen separated from the syngas produced in the gasification unit reacts with carbon monoxide in FT reactor to produce liquid fuel. The unwanted hydrogen together with the emission of the FT reaction will be supplied to steam and gas combined cycle unit to produce electricity. The results of simulation show that the CO2 reuse to produce liquid fuels and chemicals is technically feasible.
