Attitude Stabilization Control of Underactuated Flezible Spacecraft
Attitude stabilization for flexible spacecraft is a problem of both theoretical and practical interest. The paper takes the lead in studying the stabilization problem for underactuated flexible spacecraft,i.e., spacecraft in the case of actuators failures. The paper first constructs the mathematical model of the underactuated flexible spacecraft,then based on the work done by Morin and Samson on underactuated rigid spacecraft, the paper uses the homogeneous system theory and the averaging method to study the attitude stabilization of the underactuated flexible spacecraft and demonstrates that the timevaring feedback controller stabilizing the underactuated rigid spacecraft can also be applied to the case of flexible spacecraft and make the closed-loop system locally exponentially stable. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed controller.
