An Ant Colony Algorithm for the Correction of Lambert Orbital Transfer

The correction of two-impulse Lambert orbit transfer with gravitational perturbation was studied. The transfer orbit is mostly determined by the first impulse during Lambert transfer, therefore, the correction for the first impulse was investigated. The velocity increment at the first impulse as a parameter was optimized, so that the influence of perturbation can be counteracted effectively. A new decimalization ant colony algorithm(DACA) was proposed and was applied to solve the optimization problem. Simulation results show that that DACA is efficient for finding the optimum of the first velocity increment , which can reduce the error of final position availably. In addition, simulation results show that DACA has stronger ability to get the optimum than adaptive genetic algorithm (AGA).
