Satellites Formation Keeping Using Lyapunov Min-maz Approach

A robust control method for formation keeping is derived in this paper. The relative motion dynamics becomes an uncertain system with the environmental perturbations and impulse error included. In order to eliminate effect of these disturbances, a control law based on Lyapunov min — max approach is designed. The uncertain system is proved to be asymptotically stable with this control law. Then the control law is modified to avoid chattering, and the system becomes uniformly ultimately bounded. The simulation results validate that in the presence of disturbance the Lyapunov min - max approach has stronger robustness than other control methods.
