DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF THE CONSULTING SYSTEM OF PRECISION FERTILIZATION IN RICE

The base for precision fertilization in rice has been established in the national agriculture demonstration zone in Zhejiang province with a area of 5200 mu (347 hm2) by using GPS orientation technique to collect 145 soil samples and analyze their contents of soil OM, available N, available P, exchangeable K and pH, then to get the spatial variation map of soil nutrients by using GIS technique, which can be used as the basic map of precision fertilization. On the basis of sufficient investigations, application rate of N fertilizer was determined with the soil fertility status and rice yield target; and rates of P, K fertilizers were determined by using the indicator method of abundant or deficient in soil nutrients. The consulting system of precision fertilization in rice was developed by using the secondary developing software of GIS (Map Objects) and Visual Basic 6.0 or Visual Basic NET. Thus, we can easily recommend the rates of N, P, K by just using the computers mouse to click the given field plots. Also, in the fields to be out of the precision fertilization plots, we can also give the precision fertilization recommendation by using the corresponding soil nutrient contents. The consulting system of precision fertilization has the intellective characteristics, which isthe important product of combination of intellective techniques and traditional fertilization techniques.
