A SYSTEM FOR MEASURING SOIL WATER CONTENT AND BULK DENSITY BASED ON PDA
The measurement of the permittivity of moist soil and the effect of bulk density on it are main topics in agriculture. The new system is based on Personal Digital Assistant, which has been integrated with GPS receiver. Through this new measuring system, it is convenient to collect soil water content and bulk density and it is very intuitionistic to show the relationships among soil moisture, bulk density and soil depth by graphs and datasheets. Nowadays, all the functions in former system have been realized and step success has been acquired.
