DEVELOPMENT OF A PORTABLE SOIL EC DETECTOR BASED ON BLUETOOTH TECHNOLOGY

This paper introduces the development of a portable soil EC detector based on wireless technology. The detector consists of a sensor, a data logger, a processor unit, a Bluetooth module, a PDA, and software. The sensor has four electrodes, two inject constant alternating current into soil and other two detect the voltage drop in it. The voltage drop can be used to calculate the soil EC. Data logger and processor unit converts alternating current voltage into direct current, fulfills digital conversion, calculates data, displays result and stores data with flash disk; Bluetooh module transmits data to PDA to display, store and draw measured data.
