THE MIDDLEWARE FOR ROUTING DESIGN

Lots of efforts have been taken to develop energy efficient routing algorithms, however, still little efforts has been put on how to make the protocol implement easy. Middleware is promising solution, but the lack of the support for the routing design make the designer occupied in low-level time-consuming coding and testing.In this paper, we provide an architecture which give an abstraction of complex sensor network into resource, protocol and application layers. Based on the architecture, we build a middleware termed Middleware for Routing Design (MRD) which enabled the research focus on more design at a higher level but not programming detail. MRD is featured by retaskable, energy saving and negotiable.
