INTEGRATIVE INFORMATION SERVICE SYSTEM FOR RURAL AREA IN BEIJING
With the support of China Ministry of Science and Technology, Beijing Science and Technology Committee and Beijing Rural Affair Committee, An integrative information service system was studied and built in villages of Beijing suburb by the China National Engineering Research Center for Information Technology in Agriculture to promote population in rural area to access information and to bridge the digital divide between urban and rural area. A case in Wuxiongsi village, Shunyi County was studied in this article. By building integrative network to help farmers access information, Creating Information Resources to Fill A Dearth Of Content For Farmers, trying many kinds of service modes to meet fanners needs, and training comprehensively, The getting information ability of villagers is improved obviously. About 80 percents villagers can get information by one means. They can get and adopt enhanced technologies, increase their productivity and improve their livelihoods.
