SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC BENEFITS OF SELF-COMPACTING CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY

摘要：

This paper discusses the social and economic benefits of self-compacting concrete(SCC)technology.It also compares SCC with normal concrete about the total cost for production of typical structural elements such as beams,columns and hollow-core slabs.The analyses indicate that the direct cost of construction using SCC increased 5％ to 10％ compared to that using normal concrete according to the current cost estimates.Though the increase of the overall cost is within 5％,the application of SCC to general construction can improve the quality of products,lower the cost of maintenance and improve the structural durability.
