Methods for Determination of Basic Characteristics of Ezplosives and Properties of Rocks for Development of Rational Parameters of Drilling and Blasting Operations
Explosives as a highly concentrated and cost effective source of energy fred various industrial applications. More than 90% of the total amount of ferrous and non-ferrous metal ores mined in our country is extracted using blasting methods. Blasting of rocks is an extremely complex phenomenon. There are various approaches for description of rock blasting processes and for correlation of explosive charge characteristics and results of blasting operations. It seems that we cant identify some unique characteristic of explosive charge that is controlling the blasting effect in all conditions.
