Research into the Strength and Deformation of Rocks in Conditions of Triazial Inequicomponent Compression
The paper presents some results of the experimental research into the strength of rocks in conditions of volumetric inequicomponent stressed state performed with the use of devices and facilities of different design. The description is given of a new device for triaxial compression of prismatic rock samples. It is proved that the shearing strength of rock samples gradually increases on reaching the Nadai-Lode parameter, which determines the type of the stressed state, from -1 to 0 and decreases with the increase of this parameter to+1.
