Production and Application of New Ezplosives at the Mining Enterprises of Kazakstan

One of the major directions of blasting work development in Kazakstan is production of the elementary nontrinitrotoluene explosives on the places of consumption. In practice, as a rule, rise of rock crushing degree is achieved by increase in explosion power due to increase of explosives capacity in volume of a charging cavity and rise of its thermal effect. Increase of explosives capacity leads inevitably to increase in its rate. Analysis of blasting works carrying-out at the underground mines of Kazakstan has shown that there was sharp requirement in replacement of the used in friable explosives ammoniac saltpeter with smooth granules in accordance with GOST 2-85 on the porous one. Due to researches of the state scientific-and-production center of blasting works lnterrin and Orika-Kazakstan on production of water-emulsion explosives in blaster and non-blaster variant the volumes of water-emulsion explosives (as granulite E and ETV, POWERGEL) use at the quarries and mines of Kazakstan grow with every year.
