Relationship between Pressure Desensitization and Sensitization Bubbles Content of Emulsion Ezplosives
Three kinds of emulsion explosives were made from an emulsion matrix by mixed with 0.1%, 0.15% and 0.25% by the mass of H foaming agents respectively. Under the same experimental conditions, the explosion shock waves produced by the explosives in water were tested before and after subjected to the host charges shock wave. The compressive resistance performance of them were compared and analyzed with The pressure desensitization degrees were calculated with the peak pressure of their explosion shock waves, which then were used to compare and analyze the compressive resistance performance of the explosives. The experimental results indicate that the content of sensitizing bubble has great influence on the pressure desensitization of the emulsion explosives. When the content of foaming agents increases from 0.1% to 0.25%,the desensitization degree of emulsion explosives will be increased, while the compressive resistance performance decreased obviously. The analysis result shows that both the change of the sensitizing bubbles distribution structure and the broken emulsion surrounding the bubbles are the causes of the pressure desensitization of emulsion explosives. The higher content of the sensitizing bubbles and higher proportion of the broken emulsion are, the easier the pressure desensitization will occur.
