Application of Relieving Welding Residual Stresses by Means of Ezplosive Technique in Large Construction Projects
This paper introduces the application of relieving welding residual stresses by means of explosive technique in large construction projects like steel Bifurcation of hydropower station and alumina plant and so on. The residual stresses of steel Bifurcation of hydropower station and the alkali storage tank for alumina plant after welding are relatively high and reach or even exceed the yield strength of the materials; after explosive treatment, the max original stretching stress value of weld lowers obviously and welding residual stress relief ratio can be up to 60%～95%1.
