Innovation in the Romanian Tourism Industry—The Language of Negotiation for Travel Agencies
The paper presents an intensive tailor-made course of English for 120 groups of businessmen working in travel agencies in Romania and wanting to negotiate a long term contract with a foreign travel agency. Their passive level of English is upper-intermediate but their active skills are of a considerably lower level. The paper mentions and develops on the most important steps a course design should follow in order to achieve its main objectives-activating the course participants passive knowledge of English so that they can negotiate efficiently and remain competitive on an international market.
