Strategic Competition of Standard Lock-in between Digital Products Manufacturers: A Game Theoretical Analysis
Using the game theory, the paper first analyzes the new standard strategy adopted by Digital Products Manufacturers in standard lock-in competition, and points out that the core of the competition of the new standard is the competition of innovation degree. Then, the author analyzes the compatible strategy in the standard lock-in competition, making the conclusions that firms that are controlling the market standard are unwilling to use the compatible strategy in general, whilst the small enterprises have more motivation to realize compatible strategy.
