Turn Challenges into Opportunities—Actively Addressing Global Financial Crisis to Promote Sound Development of Chinas Book Industry
The financial crisis triggered by subprime mortgage crisis in the United States led to global economic recession, which has spread to different sectors. Affected by the recession, book industry worldwide is languishing, including Chinas publishing sector,which witnesses dramatic slowdown.Based on the orientation of Chinas publishing policies, this paper analyzes the severe situation faced with by Chinese publishing industry under the financial crisis from four aspects both theoretically and pragmatically,proposes effective countermeasures, points out that by emphasizing adequately and analyzing rationally the potential impact of the financial crisis on book industry,publishing houses shall strengthen confidence and be proactive to dissolve risks to step out of the cold winter pointedly to salute a warm spring of book industry.
