Empirical Analysis on Quantity Changes of Agricultural Products Trade in China Since Entering the WTO

Since entering the World Trade Organization(WTO), the gap of Chinas agricultural products import and export trade has a downward trend on the whole, especially from 2004 to now the trade gap keeps deficit. The structure of the agricultural products import and export trade has improved, the trade comparative advantage has better developed, but not abundant. Making use of the data of the agricultural proaucts import and export trade before and after WTO, the paper analyzes comparatively the factors influencing agricultural import and export trade through multiple linear regression models, and finds the main factors that influence agricultural trade are: exchange rate, growth in household income, structural grain gap, and customs. Thus, we should take relevant measurements.
