Analysis on the Development of Informatization in Chinas economy
Informatisation is perceived as an agent of change and a powerful force for development. It is a handy tool for measuring the information infrastructure available in a particular community and thus provides scope for making comparisons between nations as far as IT applications are concerned. It is not only an important determinant of economic development but also an essential factor capable of altering social organization. Almost all nations have chosen informatisation as the most promising means for development as is evident from the explosive diffusion of computers, telecommunications, broadcast and video media, and information media over the last decade. These technologies enhance the ability to manage information consumption and production. There has been dynamic expansion in the production of information during the last decade, and growth in IT has raised renewed hopes for national development On the basis of analysis on informatization definition, this paper reviewed the Chinas informatizaton course and conducted present status of informatization in China, then explores the progress and problems in informatization and analyzes future developments of informatization. So it can guide governments and enterprises to accelerate informatization efficiently.
