A framework for IT outsourcing Risk factors identification

摘要：

IT outsourcing provides opportunities for cost-savings and product or service improvement. However, it is also a risky endeavor. This paper presents a framework for identifying Outsourcing risks. The framework based on the MIS research model proposed by Ives, Hamilton, and Davis as well as on IT outsourcing literatures includes seven risk factor variables: external environment, organizational environment, user environment, IS development environment, IS operations environment, Information system, outsourcing relationship, and then content analysis is used for evaluating effectiveness of the framework.
