Commercial Banks Strategy Selection in SMEs market: An Analysis Based on RBV
Based on RBV analysis frame, this paper makes a contrastive analysis on the cases of two successful commercial banks with different strategies in the SMEs market in USA. It shows that as a large and diversified market, the SMEs market provides the banks with many development opportunities. The large banks and small banks have respective advantages in the SMEs market The banks should reinforce the resources base through innovation and transformation as well as select strategy adapting to their resource bases to maintain the sustainable competitive advantage. The public authority should improve the regulation infrastructure to provide the banks with a good selection of different strategies to explore into the SMEs market.
