Mechanism of Social Capitals Function on Innovation: Content Analysis of Empirical Research in China
This paper conducts a content analysis of social capital research papers published in the top 20 CSSCI source journals in management (ranked by citation factor) over the last 20 years. Our research findings concludes that, Firstly, the last several years have seen rapid increase in research on social capital and its function on innovation; Secondly, various methods of measuring social capital can be integrated into a unified framework which divides social capital into different dimensions; Lastly, the major mechanism of social capitals function on innovation is through knowledge management.
