Research on Factors Affecting Urban Ezhibition Industry in China
With the speed of economic globalization accelerating, exhibition industry has developed rapidly in China. However, relevant research is inadequate. This paper aims to identify the major factors that affect the development of exhibition, and quantitatively analyze the influence of each factor on the development of urban exhibition industry. Preliminary factors are identified based on the Diamond model of National Advantage Theory by Michael E. Potter. Then, principal component analysis and regression analysis are utilized for extracting major influencing factors and quantify their influences, respectively. Data from 23 inland cities of China are used for sample analysis, based on which some suggestions are given for promoting the development of urban exhibition industry.
