Knowledge Collaboration Management in Business Clusters

Business clusters are geographical concentrations of organizations in related industries that do business and cooperation with each other. In business clusters, business knowledge is often distributed among different organizations, which is the important source for clusters development and innovation and may be considered to provide each organization with a competitive advantage. Now collaborative relationships between organizations in business clusters for knowledge share and creation have received considerable attention from both researchers and practitioners. Based on analyzing performance characteristic of business cluster and the necessary for knowledge cooperation, this paper presents knowledge collaboration management concept model, and analyzes the three collaboration levels for supporting knowledge cooperation. Finally the mechanism for realizing effective knowledge collaboration management in business clusters is discusses.
