Structural Model and Application of Managers Job Performance: A Case Study of Resource-Rich Enterprise

The purpose of this paper is to develop a structural model and a scale of evaluating managersjob performance for the resource-rich enterprises and then measure their job performance. The existing researches mainly focus on task and contextual performance of employees. Little attention has been paid to their learning and innovative performance. As a result, it is difficult to measure the job performance for an individual in a systematic way. A structural model of evaluating the job performance of managers of the resource-rich enterprises is proposed in this paper, which integrates task performance, contextual performance, learning performance and innovative performance and combines the theories of organizational citizenship behavior, extra-role behavior performance, task and contextual performance, Campbell high sequence performance, as well as learning and innovative performance. The job performance scale of managers is also developed. They are used to evaluate the job performance of managers for the Thirteen Mine of Pingdingshan Tianan Coal Mining Co., LTD. The results provide a way to improve the job performance of managers for resource-rich enterprises.
