Ezchange Rate Fluctuation and International Tourism Demand: an Empirical Analysis on U.S. Tourism Demand for China

America is the first original country of long-distance inbound tourism to china. The depreciation of exchange rates of U. S. dollar vis-a-vis RMB influenced inevitably U. S. travel demand to Chinese tourism products since 1994. The paper selected relative data about American arrivals and exchange rates from 1994 to 2007, used 2-Stage Least Squares to analyze empirically exchange rates and relative factors impact on U. S. tourism demand for china. The result showed that short-time exchange fluctuation and Chinese unique tourism product weaken dollar depreciation impact on U. S. tourism demand.
