Research on Evaluating LOS of Facilities in Comprehensive Passenger Transport Hub
There are three main facilities in comprehensive passenger transport hub, including ticketing halls, walkways, and platform. This paper analyzes the characteristics of these facilities, and designs the evaluating index systems of their LOS (level of service). With the research of pedestrian behavior characteristics between Chinese and western people, the evaluating criterions are established based on mathematical statistics and actual data. Also, the LOS of facilities in Beijing Xizhimen comprehensive passenger transport hub are evaluated according to the evaluating criterions designed in this paper and criterions in HCM2000 (Highway Capacity Manual 2000). By comparing the two evaluation results, the rationality of these evaluation criterions are verified. This research can provide some references for designing and evaluating comprehensive passenger transport hub in big cities.
