The Development and Investigation of Numerical Simulation Software for Secondary Cooling Zone in Thin Slab Continuous Casting

This paper establishes a two-dimensional thermo-elastic-plastic stress model, which based on the finite dement method. Numerical simulation software has been developed by the object-oriented Visual Basic pro-gramming language,The software has comprehensive functions and friendly man-machine interface. In addition, 16Mn steel in the initial stage of secondary cooling zone has been simulated optimized and thereby the accuracy and practicability of the model are validated.
