Research on Thin Slab Continuous Casting and Rolling Mills Vibration Control
With many thin slab continuous casting and rolling mills used all over the world, the F2~F4 stands have resulted in a serious ghosty vibration phenomenon during rolling thin gauge steel or strip with high deformation resistance. In particular the vibration of CSP hot rolling mills is more seriously, which has become a difficult technical problem troubled dozens of enterprises. When the vibration occurs, the roller and strip surface appeared chatter marks and accompanied by strong noise, which not only reduces the online using life expectancy of the roller, but also a threat to the safety of the production equipment, have triggered a number of major equipment accidents. This technical problem has not been completely resolved over the past two decades. In this paper, measures were put forward and implemented to control the vibration through integrated field test, vibration theory study and computer simulation which achieved significant results and economic benefits.
