Numerical Simulation On Flow Partern of Gas-Particle in Porous Ceramic Filter Vessel

The user-defined function has been added to the Eulerian two-fluid model provided byFLUENT code to evaluate the gas-particle two-phase flow field in ceramic filter vessel considering thewide range of particle concentration. The variations of the filter cake density during filtration wereanalyzed. The gas and solid flow behavior in the filter vessel has been analyzed. The variation of thefilter cake density along filter during filtration process was studied. The simulation results agree wellwith experimental data.So far the numerical results show a good approach to predict the particledistribution in filter vessel and the particle deposition on filter element.
