Study of Fractal Parameters in Porous Media

The mathematical formula of fractal permeability and fractal porosity,along with theirdynamical meanings,are presented in this paper. Starting from the available study of tortuosity innatural porous media. The varying range of fractal dimension of tortuosity is calculated.By analysis ofscaling law and comparing with the relativity of inhomogeneous capillaries(or fractures),fractaldimension of capillary diameters and fracture widths are studied. The calculation method ofperrneability and porosity of inhomogeneous capillaries (or fractures)for classical flow study in porousmedia is discussed as well.At the end of the paper, a fractal model for porous dual-media is proposed,which provides a new method for the study of compact reservoir.
