Analysis of Highway Slope Stability by Strength Reduction FEM under Solid-fluid Coupling

Based on the theory of solid-fluid coupling of porous media, a mathematical model of slope failure system under solid-fluid coupling is established. Combined the strength reduction elastic-plastic FEM with seepage of slope, the road slope stability of true engineering is calculated under solid-fluid coupling and compared with the results of limit equilibrium method. The comparison shows safety coefficient of slope is significant decreases under solid-fluid coupling. The results show that strength reduction FEM is an effective way to study the road slope stability under solid-fluid coupling. It also a provide reference to the engineering practice and a new approach for future research.
