Study on Support Type for Weak Zone of Diversion Tunnel under High Geo-stress and High Seepage Pressure Condition
The diversion tunnel for Jinping II hydropower station is located in western China with high mountains and great gorge. The problems of high geo-stress and high seepage pressure are prominent. Reasonable support type for weak zone of the diversion tunnel is studied by using FLAC(3D) (Fast lagrangian analysis of continua in 3 dimensions) numerical program based on coupled fluid-mechanical theory. According to the numerical results, recommend scheme of supporting design for weak zone of the diversion tunnel under high geo-stress and high seepage pressure condition is proposed. The study results indicate that combinational support type including bolting, shotcrete, consolidation grouting and lining is effective to solve the stability problems of surrounding rockmass of weak zone under high geo-stress and high seepage pressure condition.
