Study on Percolation Properties of Porous Media in Low-frequency Wave Field

In this paper, the effect of low-frequency wave on one-phase flow of oil and gas in low permeability porous media was studied by experiments. Self-designed generator of high-power and low-frequency hydraulic pulse wave was employed in the experiments. The different wave parameters were used to study their effects on liquid flow through the porous media. The study showed that proper low-frequency wave can greatly increase the flow ability of oil and gas through low permeability rock sample. A dynamic model describing the pressure distribution near the well bore in low-frequency and high-power hydraulic pulse wave field was established. Some important quantitative results were calculated for a practical parameter case. On the basis of the results of experiments and mathematical simulations, the main mechanisms and key controlling factors for the effects of low frequency pulse wave on the one-phase flow of oil and gas through porous media were illuminated.
