The Study of Pressure and Flow Response of Injection Well under Influence of Nozzles Pressure Loss
This paper is aimed to determine how nozzle pressure loss will influence water injection. Experiments were conducted and results showed that as injection flow increase, the nozzle pressure loss would dominate injection process. On the basis of experiments, a new well treatment was proposed. And numerical simulations were applied to observe the injection dynamically. Computational results indicated that water injection can not be regarded as constant pressure or constant flow process. Through simulations using different nozzles, we also found that smaller nozzles have better smoothing effect on injection flow rate than larger nozzles. According to the regulation, we suggest that to promise the quality of water injection, proper raise of injection pressure and selection of smaller nozzles are necessary.
