Investigation of Seepage Load Acted on Impervious Wall of the Embankment

摘要：

The vertical impervious wall is often used in the rehabilitation of reservoir dam and river embankment, and it is one of the proven technique. But in the structural analysis of the wall, there exist some indecisive factors in the determination of the loads acting on the wall, for example, the seepage load on it. In the impounding of the reservoir, the water level on two sides of the wall change a lot, and how to determine the water pressure on two sides of the wall is the basis of reasonable structural analysis of the wall. The finite element method is used to analyze the water pressure of the wall, the pressure in some cases are investigated.
