Research on Reservoir Leakage through the Right-Bank Basalt of Hengshan Hydro-project
Research on reservoir leakage is an important subject in water resources and hydropower project. Serious leakage problem has been found since the dam is constructed for Hengshan hydro-project in Changbai county, Jilin province. The path, range and mechanism of the reservoir right-bank leakage have been basically found out. The quantity of leakage which is calculated by fissure seepage theory is basically the same as the measured result. It shows that the reservoir leakage is through fissures and joints well-developed in basalt and provides a scientific basis for the design of curtain grouting of the reservoir.
