The Effect of Different Soil Tezture on SWCC of Unsaturated Soil
The soil water characteristic curve is very important for controlling the retaining and movement of the unsaturated soil water. Factors mainly affecting effect of SWCC (soil water characteristic curve) are soil texture, structure and balk density. The soil texture is simulated in this paper. The numerical results show that matric suction of clay soil is bigger than sandy soil with the same moisture content, and the effect of texture is most significant; the smaller the soil particles, the steeper the curve. The effects of structure are chiefly in the section near water saturation point; Research on the water movement law of the parameters can offer theory foundation for the measurement of the basic parameters in the laboratory and on the site.
