SLIDING MODE FUNCTIONAL OBSERVERS FOR NON-LINEAR SYSTEMS
This note deals with the design of sliding mode observers for a class of nonlinear systems. Necessary and sufficient conditions are derived for the existence of the sliding mode observers. An observer design procedure based on Linear Matrix Inequality is given. A numerical example is given to illustrate the design method.
