HERON MEAN NEWTONS METHOD FOR MULTIPLE ROOTS

摘要：

In this paper, we present a new method for solving nonlinear equations which have multiple roots, and prove that the new method converges linearly to multiple roots. We have compared this modified Newtons method with some other iterative methods which shows that this new iterative method is efficient one. Several examples are given to illustrate the efficiency and the performance of this method.
