MCPFS: A MULTIPATH CONSTRAINTED P2P FORWARDING SCHEME FOR MULTIHOMING ENTERPRISE NETWORKS
The rapid development of next generation network (NGN) and communication technology in the last few years have given rise to a strong research interest in Concurrent MultiPath (CMP) technology. Traditional routing technology is hard to process the traffic of P2P application, so the identification and control of P2P traffic become more and more important. Based on the analysis of routing oscillation and combining with the characteristics of ports, flow distribution and duration time, a novel CMP forwarding scheme, MCPFS (Multipath Constrained P2P Forwarding Scheme), is proposed. MCPFS make best use of traffic identification for different TCP and UDP packets and forward those packets to a sub-optimal path in a multihoming enterprise networks, NS2 simulations prove that MCPFS reduces the performance degradation of P2P and achieves a better characteristics of throughput and delay than OSPF and ECMP.
