DUAL-HOMED FAULT-TOLERANT ROUTING IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS
The wireless sensor networks (WSNs) composed of a collection of sensor nodes can be used as an effective tool for monitoring and interacting with our physical environment. Implementing a fault-tolerant mechanism is critical to the success of WSNs. In this paper, based on LEACH (Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) protocol and 1:1 Dual-Homed Fault-Tolerant technique, a dual-homed fault-tolerant protocol FTLEACH (Fanlt-Tolerant LEACH) which can reduce the drop of packets for nodes failure is proposed. When nodes failure happens, FTLEACH can guarantee the transmission of data and reduce the loss of data. Simulation results show that FTLEACH performs hatter than LEACH on fault tolerance.
