AN APPROACH TO DETECT THE CONFLICT OF BGP ROUTING POLICIES
As the only inter-domain routing protocol, BGP plays a very important role in global Internet. The conflict of BGP routing policies can cause BGP to diverge and lead to large-scale routing oscillation. How to detect the BGP routing policies confliction is a critical problem to solving routing oscillation in Intemet. This paper presents an approach to detect the set of conflict routing policies based on dispute cycle avoidance. Based on AS relationship and SPVP, our approach first identifies the dispute cycles that cause routing oscillation, and then queries which routing policies lead to these cycles in a distributed manner. A Simulation instance is given to show the effectiveness of the approach. This approach can help network administrators to detecting and fixing the conflict of routing policies.
