ADAPTIVE WAVEFORM SCHEDULING BASED ON BDP METHOD
Cognitive radar is a new framework radar system proposed by research team of Simon Haykin. Adaptive waveform scheduling is an important problem of cognitive radar, and its aim is to select the best sequence of waveforms to track the targets with the highest possible accuracy. The problem of adaptive waveform scheduling of cognitive radar can be viewed as a problem of stochastic dynamic programming. In this paper, BDP (Backward Dynamic Programming) method is used to solve the problem of waveform scheduling. In simulation, the curve of target tracking errors is given to test and verify that BDP method has lower tracking errors compared to fixed waveform. Moreover, the advantages of BDP method do not depend on the form of reward function we use. Finally, the whole paper is summarized.
