The research of NURBS curve fitting
Non-uniform rational B-Spline (NURBS) possesses many merits on complex target’s modeling and is adopted in CAD more and more. An important problem which is brought about by the method of NURBS in practice is that calculating control points based on the curve or surfaces data points. In the process of NURBS curve fitting, the fitting stage executes the NURBS curve fitting method along with a given set of data points. We get the B-Spline basis with the knot vector, which is calculated with accumulating the chord length. Afterwards, take the matrix of the power control points to computing all control points, and draw up to match the curve that request finally.
