Reservoirs Ecological Effect on Zhangweinan River
The effect of reservoir construction and dispatching on river ecology has always been a hot topic as regards ecology protection and river administration. Zhangweinan Canal is a typical fiver in north China and Haihe basin. In this paper, such effect on the fiver was discussed based on investigation and analysis of the relevant construction and dispatching history. It was found that the ecological effect of reservoir construction has been lessening over time, that the fiver has gradually reached a new ecological balance, that reservoir dispatching and management has become key factor in fiver ecology protection, while efforts should be directed to enhanced construction planning and ecology protection measures.
