Study on the Industrial Pollution Control of Daguhe River GEF Granted Project
Dagu River was dug in 1958, total length is 67.47Km. In 2006, there were 176 million m3 of industrial wastewater discharging into rivers, and 53.5% of it was discharged into Daguhe River and then into the Sea. This project applied the advanced ideas about water resources and water environmental management from GEF, organized 28 stakeholders such as water conservation authority, municipal construction company,environmental protection authority, township government and so on to make the pollution characteristic investigation and monitoring for Daguhe river-mouth and catchments area. For the key pollution sources, the project carried out the environmental performance evaluation, cleaner production audit and so on. Then drew up some measures and pollution control schemes such as closing industrial wastwater discharge outlets along river, catchments area diversion, building wastewater treatment plant, which had been discussed by various departments and part of them has been adopted by Tianjin Municipal Government.
