Study on Characteristics of Winter Wheat Water Consumption Irrigated with Freshwater in Huang Huai Hai Plain
In aird and semiarid regions, freshwater is not only precious natural resources but also limiting factors of agriculture exploitation, so it is necessary to study rational irrigation requirement with the purpose of economic water utilization and to raise the output of production. Due to the impact of monsoonal climate, winter wheat grows in the most arid season, precipitation rate during breeding season just be capable of 25%-30% water consumption of winter wheat, the supplement of the irrigating water is important when the high level of production is demanded. Increasing water use efficiency of winter wheat and developing water-saving high yield cultivation are valuable approachs of remit contradiction on water resources supply-demand. Irrigation time and precipitation rate each time must be reasonably determined when the irrigation requirement is constituted. The study use water balance method and combined soil-plant-meteorological factors to calculate water consumption according to the fidld results of 2002-2005, winter wheat water consumption law and impact on yield on the condition of water-saving irrigation is analyzed at the same time. It made a conculsion that 508.04mm is the optimum water consumption locally. The result provides reference fiame for establishment of plant-moisture growth model, rational irrigation and use water resources with high efficiency.
